Working To Support The Social Sector In Cuba
February 12 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Location: The Boston Foundation, 75 Arlington Street, 3rd Floor
Date: Feb. 12, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Since the opening of US/Cuba relations in 2015 many Americans have traveled to Cuba and returned to the US with the hope of contributing to social change on the Island. While there are many needs, the Embargo remains in place and there continue to be many logistical impediments to supporting the social sector in Cuba. At the same time, this period is an opportunity to invest in capacities that will help prepare for more significant change in years to come. Join us to learn about how organizations are already supporting the social sector in Cuba and what sorts of support can help contribute to laying the ground work for a more stable and prosperous Cuba in the future.
