Boston’s Evening of Light for Rohingya Refugees

May 16 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Thursday, May 16, 2019 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
The Barking Crab, 88 Sleeper Street, Boston, MA
Humanity Rises, founded by Bostonian Kel Kelly, is a refugee humanitarian aid organization focused on the Rohingya crisis. In 2018, The Humanity Rises Medical Clinic, located in the Balukhali refugee camp in Bangladesh, provided critical health services, testing and medication to over 32,000 Rohingya refugees at an average cost of under $4.00 per patient. The medical clinic is projected to treat 70,000+/- Rohingya patients in 2019. In February 2019, the organization launched the Humanity Rises Rehma Child Life Center (HRRCLC) which provides education-based pediatric mental health services to Rohingya children who have witnessed unimaginable genocide-based horror.
Humanity Rises was founded under the fundamental belief that during the world’s darkest moments, light always shines through when humanity rises to help those affected by tragedy, and in helping to lift others, we lift ourselves. Become a ray of light for the Rohingya, humanity and yourself by joining us at “Boston’s Evening of Light for Rohingya Refugees.”
Make a $1,000 tax deductible donation to Humanity Rises and get a ticket to this event. 100% of your donation will go towards Humanity Rises’ humanitarian work in Bangladesh.
