NEID offers learning and networking events that creates a safe space for philanthropists and investors to understand core issues of international development and philanthropy, test new ideas, challenge the status quo, and build relationships. These events are hosted several time a month and feature expert speakers, offer hands-on engagement with non-profits that have international missions, and provoke thoughtful discussion among participants. Formal and regular programs currently include:
- panel discussions and events featuring experts, entrepreneurs, or mentors
- capacity-building workshops for philanthropists and investors
- thematic working group coffees, often featuring the work of our members
- Jeffersonian dinners
- book & film discussions
- regular social events
We also offer ways for international grantmakers and investors to act together and in 2017 launched NEIDs first giving circle focused on women and girls.
Our community comes together annually at our Fall Changemaker Gala and starting in 2018 for our annual NEID Summit.
“Inspiration has been a huge benefit of NEID and events and the people I have met through NEID have opened my eyes to what’s out there and creative ways of addressing huge global needs.”
